From the beach

Just a quick on today, blogging from my phone on a beach with 1 bar of signal (not even 3G!).

Seaweed is so annoying! All I want to do is go for a paddle, but in order to get into the sea I have to walk through a massive deposit of the stuff. It's slippery and bloody annoying. Oh well, I'll dig a hole instead.

Excuses

I'm going away on holiday for the next week, and It's unlikely that I will be able to post, so this blog may be a little quiet for a while.

P.s. one last annoyance; people at the supermarket who are too lazy to put their trolleys back in the trolley park and instead leave them floating around the middle of the car park! Eejits!

I'm NOT in debt!

So I was on a website about iPhones, and I accidentally clicked an advert when my computer crashed and was trying to click a link (you know, where the screen jumps around even though you pressed the arrow keys ages ago...delayed much) and the ad I happened to click was one for debt problems. Now, everywhere I go online the internet seems to think I am in debt and need a solution ASAP! Every advert I see is from debt companies.

Well internet, I'm not in debt, so leave me alone!

Jeez how annoying

Mildly Alarming

Next to my bed is a clock radio that I used to use as an alarm to get me up in the mornings for work, but recently I've not needed to get up so early so the alarm has been turned off.

However, last night I must have accidentally knocked it. Normally, they alarm turns on the radio in the morning, however this morning I was rudely awoken at 6.00 by a very loud beeping (the clocks default alarm tone) and man did it wake me up! Along with everyone else in the house...

so not only was I awake 4 hours before I really wanted to be, so was everyone else! Stupid thing.

Soon To Pass

I've had my laptop for nearly 3 years now. I think it's about to die. It was top of the range when I got it (It cost me nearly £1000, and seeing as I was only 16 and unemployed at the time, that was a lot of money to spend on a laptop).

However, over the last few months the battery life has been getting worse. Currently, if I were to unplug it right now I would have just under 7 minutes to finish writing this post and to publish it before it died. And if I turn off WIFI until I'm ready to post? 9 minutes.

The weird thing is that when I bought the laptop, I paid a little more to get a 9 Cell Battery instead of a 6 Cell one. I wonder what the battery life would be like now if I hadn't.

So, I think when I get some monies, I will buy myself a new laptop. The question is, PC or MAC?

Wake

I think its very sad that it takes a "death" for people to "become a fan" in a sense. im sure there were many people who didnt like her, but now decided to run out and buy CDs (or download tracks). I think the best example of this happening was when Michael Jackson Died, and his sales increased dramatically, even more than when lennon or elvis died. Its a shame that we live in a society that cant appreciate good music until something drastic happens and the media push it in our faces.

Amy Winehouse Found Dead

Apparently just under 2 hours ago singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London home. I will update when more information is available.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained.
London Ambulance Service said it had been called to the flat at 1554 BST and sent two vehicles but the woman died.
The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her recent musical career. She pulled out of a comeback tour last month.

Love/Hate

One of my favourite chocolates ever is Toblerone, however, I also happen to hate it.

I find it really really yummy, but I don't like spending an hour after eating it removing bits of nougat from between my teeth. It's so annoying! Having said that, I am just about to go and buy me a bar...

I Burnt The Pizza

So I decided to cook me a pizza for lunch today. That was my first mistake. I should have just had pasta, it would have been so much less hassle...

Firstly, I forgot to remove the polystyrene tray from underneath the pizza, meaning the moment I slid it onto the shelf, it melted and filled the house with a horrible plastic aroma. I have probably poisoned myself now.

After spending a few minutes scraping off the underside of the plastic coated pizza, I put it back into the oven. An oven that I had accidentally set too high, so when I returned 10 minutes later and opened the door, the kitchen was suddenly engulfed in thick black smoke. Then the smoke alarms went off. I then spent the next 5 minutes opening every window and door in the house in an attempt to clear the air. Finally when I returned to the oven, I was greeted with a black smouldering lump in the middle of the top shelf. I pulled it out, tapped it on the side, it was rock solid.
So I chucked it in the bin and ate a banana.

So internet hacktivists have struck again, this time to the website of UK tabloid The Sun. To begin with, visitors to the website were redirected to a webpage with a hoax story that said Rupert Murdoch had been found dead in his garden. Later they were redirected to the group's twitter page.

I wonder what will happen next, seeing as Lulzsec were meant to have disbanded a few weeks back...

Oven Troubles

The other day I got in really late and decided to cook me some chicken and chips in the oven. so I turned it on to gas mark 5 and walked away to let it heat up. 15 minutes later I came back and was surprised to find it still trying to warm up. So I walked away for another 10 minutes to give it more time. But when I came back it still hadn't warmed up. Then I realised the door was open and I was heating the entire kitchen. D'OH! What a waste of gas and time. Oh well, at least I got my food in the end.
